Given the title of best-selling cigar in the USA, Macanudo is providing all smokers with a variety of options for all tastes. The Macanudo Inspirado Black was produced to help establish another niche in the cigar chain for General Cigar. Let’s see where this cigar ends up for the fan of their products.

Where and When Smoked: Los Angeles , Ca. 3/28/18
Appearance/Construction: A robusto in name but smallish in statue, ( Built like Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros, baseball reference ) A very dark brown wrapper , oily to the touch. It’s a handsome smoke with minor veins. No obvious issues in the construction.
Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First hit created a nice smoke plume. I usually do not notice that when I review a cigar. The flavor mix gave me a good blend of rich coco, cherries and nuts. Not an overpowering taste of anything but creamy and a mild/medium profile.
The second third continued with the same taste but a slightly fuller version of the taste. I would call it more medium.
The final third created a spice flow which combining with the other flavors cranked up the intensity a notch.
Smoking Characteristics: The cigar stayed steady in its burn line, even draw, no re lights or construction issues.
Conclusion/Overall Impression: I truly enjoyed the Macanudo Inspirido Black for a good representation of a medium broadleaf cigar. It was not complex but so what, I liked it.

Put this cigar in the I should smoke it soon. Buy a bunch, make it your friend and give it some time for aging.
