Mule Kick 2020 Limited Edition announced

by Ministry of Cigars

Mule Kick 2020 Limited Edition announced by Crowned Heads. The Tennessee based cigar company scheduled the release for the Four Kicks Mule Kick Limited Edition 2020 for July of this year. As always, the cigar will be a 5⅞x52 Robusto Extra. The blend is a tweaked, stronger version of the Four Kicks. The wrapper is also darker than the regular production Four Kicks. And this year is no exception to the rule.

The Nicaraguan filler and binder blend from Four Kicks Mule Kick Limited Edition 2020 remains untouched. It’s the exact same filler and binder combination as the previous editions. The big change this year is the wrapper. For the 2020 edition, Crowned Heads picked a wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaragua. And that makes the Four Kicks Mule Kick Limited Edition 2020 the first Nicaraguan puro in the series.

The wrapper

“The wrapper we’ve selected to utilize on the Mule Kick 2020 is very special,” said Jon Huber, Crowned Heads co-founder, in a press release. “I first experienced this leaf on a cigar in 2016 that Ernesto (Perez-Carrillo Jr.) gave me to try at that year’s IPCPR trade show and I immediately was impressed; that cigar would eventually be released later as the (Perez-Carrillo) Encore line.”. Crowned Heads used the wrapper before, on the 2017 Paniolo Especial.

The production is limited to 25.000 cigars, packed in boxes of 10 cigars. At the moment it is unclear if, and how many, boxes are reserved for the international markets. This article will be updated as soon as new information is received.
