A third version of Foundation Cigar Co.’s Charter Oak will arrive at stores later this month.

The new Charter Oak Habano uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua. Like the original blends—Charter Oak Maduro and Charter Oak Shade—the Habano is produced at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.

“I am happy to have been able to blend a beautiful Habano wrapper into an expansion of the Charter Oak line, filling the profile gap between the CT Shade and the CT Broadleaf,” said Nicholas Melillo, founder of Foundation Cigar Co., in a press release. “This is a medium-bodied, spicy blend with amazing flavor at a great value.”

It will be offered in six sizes:

• Charter Oak Petite Corona (5 1/4 x 42) — $5.50 (Boxes of 20, $110)
• Charter Oak Rothschild (4 1/2 x 50) — $5.70 (Boxes of 20, $114)
• Charter Oak Lonsdale (6 1/4 x 46) — $6 (Boxes of 20, $120)

The name Charter Oak refers to an oak tree that is believed to have stood in Hartford, Conn. from the 12th century until the 1850s. Foundation is located in Windsor, Conn.
