Cigar News:
Gov. Chris ( I never met a sandwich I didn’t like ) Christie backs down and succumbs to the anti cigar/tobacco zealots in the Garden State. So if you are below the cut off age of 21, sorry no tobacco products can be legally be bought by you. Of course there are always ways around the age requirement. I am sure you can figure that out on your own.
I am not against restrictions but dislike the inane nature of laws and regulations that:
1. Punitive laws for purposes that claim to be helpful and difficult to enforce.
2. Inconsistent for adult populations. The argument that you can serve in the military but cannot buy tobacco products under the age of 21 is a prime example. Imagine if a law was enacted that you had to be 21 to drive?
3. We will discuss and argue punitive legislation for the next hundred years . This is nothing new. My beef is with politicians who shuck and jive to get elected and change their tune.
4. If Gov. Christie is handed a bill which limits how many pounds you can be depending on height, age and sex, wonder if he would sign it?
