Cigar news you can use: A review finally

<

Cigar news: The reviews have been very far and few between this year. The reasons have been many but let’s just say it was writer’s block. So let’s get started.
The cigar in question was created by Atl Cigar CO. Their description of the ATL Magic. ” A single 6×54 vitola created in partnership with Master Blender Luciano Merilles and produced at the ACE Prime factory in Esteli.
The Magic features unique flavor notes from tobacco grown in the hidden Pueblo Nuevo region of Nicaragua.
As always how and where I received the cigar does not impact my subjective judgment and it is suggested that you try the cigar yourself.
Brand/Name of Cigar: Altcigarco./Magic
Country of Origin : Nicaragua
Size: 6×54
Wrapper: Mexican San Andres
Binder: Nicaraguan Esteli, Jalapa
Filler: Nicaraguan
Shape: Toro
Price: 9.75 MSRP I received the cigar gratis from ATL for review.
Where and when Smoked: Los Angeles, Ca. 10/20/2021

Appearance/Construction:Medium to dark brown wrapper with a firm, solid construction. Somewhat rustic in appearance with a very earthy look. No obvious issues but displayed several large veins. The cigar band was well displayed with a great color combination and enhanced the overall look of the cigar.
Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First Third: Initial combination of mild pepper, almonds and a tang of citrus. Pleasant start to the smoke as the blend combined these flavors well.
Second Third:The second taste continued this flavor blend with just an uptick of the pepper/spice. I enjoyed this as I do tend to smoke more medium to full bodied cigars. No harshness or bitterness was part of the cigar.
Final Third: The cigar was a bastion of flavor with a rich medium bodied flavors with an addition of a coffee/cocoa mix.
Smoking Characteristics: Steady burn, stayed lit throughout the smoke, medium grey ash with no issues. The construction was top flight.
Conclusion/Overall Impression: A very good buy for all types of cigar smokers who enjoy a medium flavor profile and a smooth experience. I had a cup of java with the Magic and the flavors bounced off each other very nicely which enhanced the enjoyment.
Sitback in your outdoor lawn chair and smoke away your afternoon.
Buy several for your humidor and age a month or so.
Final thoughts and the numbers: ATL Cigar company is new to me and probably new to many others. I was truly impressed with the Magic and plan to smoke their other blends too.
