Cigar review: It’s about time

Cigar review: Simply put, have not been writing reviews but here comes one. Maybe will get my ass in gear if anyone takes a look at this review.
As always, how and where I receive the cigar does not impact my subjective viewpoint. I suggest you try the cigar and make your own judgment.

Brand name/Name of Cigar: Partegas/Anejo
Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
Size: 4.5 x 49
Wrapper: 1998 Cameroon/2013 Connecticut Shade
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Mexican/Dominican
Shape Petit Robusto
Price: $6.99 SRP, I received gratis from General Cigar for review.
Where and when smoked: Los Angeles, Ca. 5/20/2022

Appearance/Construction: Generally speaking I like the feel and shape of a petit robusto and the cigar lives up to my expectations. Barber pole with a medium brown wrapper. It’s semi oily and firm to the touch. it’s actually a bit too firm which could indicate a difficult smoke to enjoy. The wrapper is rustic with a good looking band. Small veins are present but it’s a pleasing to the eye cigar.

Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First Third: Initial blend of almonds, nutmeg with a hint of black pepper. Medium in strength and pleasing to the palate.
Second Third: The cigar added a layer of mint, clove and an uptick of black pepper. This added strength and flavor in a nicely balanced approach.
Final Third: The cigar stayed true to the original taste and also added a coffee mix . Medium to strong.

Smoking Characteristics: Even burn, no relights, medium gray ash.

Conclusion/Overall Impression/Final Thoughts: This is a well crafted, delicious cigar with an outstanding price point. A box would be a good investment for yourself and your friends. General Cigar has put forth a format that will give you about an hour of smoking delight.
