Cigar news you can use: Cigar review Cuevas Sangre Nueva

Cigar news you can use: Small manufactures of cigars often are neglected due to marketing issues , or unfortunately fall between the cracks.
There are thousands of new releases every year so how does a quality company make some headway in the morass of cigars out there?
Often times bloggers such as myself get a cigar sent to us to review and through our followers, word of mouth and just plain luck a cigar gets noticed.
The roots of Cuevas Cigars are decades long but Casa Cuevas Cigars was established in 2016.
You can read about them at their website CasaCuevasCigars.com. but my job is to tell you what I think about the cigar.
As always, how and where I receive the smoke does not impact my subjective judgment . Please make up your own mind by smoking the cigar yourself.

The specs of the cigar are as follows: Ring Gauge 4.75 x 54, Robusto shape,
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Cameroon,
Binder: Honduran Corojo,
Filler: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Penn. Broadleaf.
Price: $13.00 MSRP,
Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
I received the cigar gratis for review. Smoked on 2/16/2023 in Los Angeles, aged in my humidor for 4 months.
Appearance/Construction: Medium brown wrapper, firm to the touch with an oily presence. Attractive Double band which enhanced the look of the wrapper.
Flavor/Taste: Overall super smooth with a heady blend of milk chocolate, cashews and cinnamon. As the cigar made it to the second third , black pepper gave the smoke another dimension and a nice kick .
The final third increased intensity with the pepper with orange peel combo.
Smoking Characteristics: Well constructed, no issues or tunneling. medium Grey ash.
Conclusion and the numbers: This is a superior cigar and totally recommend a purchase. You will get a nice surprise in your enjoyment with the cigar.
Appearance/Construction: 4.2 out of 5
Flavor/Taste: 4.3 out of 5
Smoking Characteristics: 4.2 out of 5.
Overall Impression: 4.2 out of 5
