I visited Puerto Rico 5 times in the 80’s and 90’s and gave consideration in moving there. That idea did not work out but here are two photos taken in Vieques Island off the coast of Puerto Rico. Then it was very undeveloped and a hot bed of anti-American feeling due to the ownership of military bases on the island. Since then the Navy released it’s ownership of the land.

I spent several weeks enjoying the local scene, exploring the beaches, and getting to know the locals. It was such a cool place to be. As you can see style wise I was a cross between Don Johnson of Miami Vice and who knows what. Some say I look like a native and others have said less complementary remarks.
