Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has been making cigars for more than 40 years, giving him one of the longest resumes in the cigar business, but he also makes one of the cigar world’s smallest smokes.

Interlude by E.P. Carrillo comes in two diminutive sizes. The Carrillitos, the larger of the duo, measures a mere four inches long with a 38 ring gauge. Rothchild Jr. is even shorter, at 3 3/4 inches, with a plumper ring gauge of 48. “It’s the shortest cigar I’ve ever made,” Perez-Carrillo told Cigar Aficionado.

The cigars are handmade from long filler and come in packs of five. They are available in natural or maduro wrapper. The natural variety has an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder, while the maduro is wrapped with Mexican San Andrés and has a binder from Ecuador. The filler on both versions is Nicaraguan.

While the cigars have been part of the EPC portfolio since 2016, they are being promoted now as a quick cigar to enjoy in cold weather. They come in five packs. The Carrillitos are $15 per pack (which works out to $3 per cigar) and the Rothchild Jr. cigars sell for $16.25 a pack ($3.25 each).
