Cigar review: Brazil is beautiful

Cigar review: I am a fan of Villiger cigars as they keep a steady, track record of producing highly rated products. Consistency in their lines have resulted in high marks in my reviews.

The newest blend from the vaults  is the Villiger Do Brasil and as they put it, ” Making a

cigar is a precise craft. Composing its flavor is an art. ”

“Particulars about this cigar: the VILLIGER DO BRASIL originates 100 % from the in-house manufacture in the area of Bahia, one of the most fertile regions of Brazil. Oranges, sugar cane, and coffee will grow here but also another top-class product; the fine tobacco is harvested on the company-owned fields, selected torcedors will roll the puros elaborately by hand. A luxury product for demanding aficionados, as the company’s chairman Heinrich Villiger emphasizes. “We control the entire manufacturing process to guarantee excellent quality – from the tobacco seeds to the perfect cigar.”

As always how and where I receive the cigar does not impact my subjective judgment. Try to cigar yourself to assess if you agree or disagree on what I have to say.

Where and When Smoked: Los Angeles, Lone Wolf Cigar Lounge, 2/15/2020

Appearance/Construction:  Very deep brown with an alluring oily feel. Solid to the touch, earthy appearance with some veins showing. The band features the handsome combo of logo and color. The overall look is classy.

Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First Third: Sweet fusion of coco, coffee with a hint of almonds. Rich in taste , strong but not overwhelming. The blend starts off well.

Second Third: There is a trend to more sweet flavor of vanilla , brown sugar and nougat. Hint of nuts show up as the cigar moves forward.

Final Third: Did not expect the next third to be full of pepper but there you go, it is now very dominant heading towards the finish. This just adds another layer to my smoking experience.

Smoking Characteristics:  An even burn throughout with no relights or issues. Cool smoking with a medium grey ash. Steady as she goes.

Conclusion/Overall Impression: An early season for one of my favorite cigars of the year.

Villigar cigars keeps making top flight products and I will keep smoking them. This is a must for your collection.

Final Thoughts and the Numbers: The blenders of this smoke must have had a vision of providing a cigar that pleases just about everyone who wants a medium to full body smoke.  A five pack for sure but a box would be better.
