519. Guantanamera Cristales |
Gifted by a friend.
Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Information:
Wrapper: Cuba
Binder: Cuba
Filler: Cuba
The cigar is pre-cut in the plastic tube it comes in.
Size: 6×41, Corona.
Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and very rough, protruding veins.
Construction: Fairly soft, a bit uneven when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Wet green tea leafs.
1st third: Starts with a green tea with a spoon of honey, slight bitter note in the aftertaste but nothing too intrusive.
2nd third: No direct changes in taste, just got a slight touch of white pepper.
Burn: Burns sharp with a fairly firm, a bit flaky white/gray ash.
Smoke: Light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.
3rd third: Looses it’s green tea and honey sweetness, now it’s mostly just white pepper with a finish of ash taste in the mouth.
Duration: 21:55-22:50, 55 min.
Conclusion: A mild bodied cigar with a mild strength profile.
Result: In my book this is an 85 point cigar.
