Cigar review: La Aurora 1495
This was a strange day. I had a doctor’s visit scheduled so the office could evaluate my recovery for my patellar injury. As I have not been able to drive for over two months , the medical transport company is scheduled to pick me up at the appointed time. The reality is their promptness has been questionable and today they were way off.
I did get to the doctor’s office but he is always late, so I guess my needless worry was ill founded. Getting home was worse as the transportation were over an hour late on the return trip.
The tread between my cigar review and the transport company are both were totally uneven.
As always the review is based on my subjective opinion and if you like what I wrote please smoke the cigar yourself.

Where and When Smoked: Los Angeles , Ca. 3/15/18
Appearance/Construction: A brown, mottled wrapper with a semi oily feel. No hard spots or soft spots evident upon my probing touch. Cap was a bit off and could have used more care. Not a handsome smoke but we will see about the taste.
Flavor/Taste and Aroma: Initial third was a combination of nuts, mint, and some unknown fruit. It was very smooth and creamy which I did not expect. The appearance did throw me off in this judgment. There was some spice but it hit the spot to make the cigar more diverse in the taste.
Smoking Characteristics: As we started the second third, the taste become peppery but the cigar line turned very messy and uneven. Usually I would comment about the cigar’s taste in the second third under the Flavor/Taste and Aroma section, but due to the poor construction , the cigar lost its allure to me. It was a medium to full profile but that became secondary as the ashes and burn line drifted into never-never land.
Conclusion/Overall Impression: To be fair, I really enjoyed the taste and mix of the cigar.
My results and numbers in each rating section will be incomplete. I would like to try the cigar again from another batch. I saw the potential in the smoke but the construction was too off to make a reasonable judgment. How does that sound?
