Cigar review:
Macanundo/ Inspirado White Robusto
Beautiful, yet complex. Sweet, with spice. Rich, but nuanced. Macanudo Inspirado White is a study in contrasts. Outside, its golden Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper, aged for 6 years, delivers an aesthetic quality like no other. Inside, an Indonesian binder brings forth an aromatic richness. Nicaraguan Estelí and Mexican San Andrés leaves, each aged for four years, continue the experience, producing a cigar brimming with notes of earth and spice.

Appearance/Construction: Light brown in appearance with a semi oily feel and smooth in the hand. Good looking cigar with a classy white band. Minimal veins , no obvious construction faults or issues. It is pleasant-looking with nice lines.
Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First hit was a surprise mix of mint, cinnamon and pepper. The pepper surprised me as I thought it would be a very mild blend.
First third was another surprise as the cigar loaded up with more spice with several notes of citrus and apples.
Second third delivered more punch of pepper with an additional influence of nuts. I felt the power increase with each puff.
Final third threw me a slight flinty taste but this was very short and not a detriment to the overall enjoyment of the smoke.
Smoking Characteristics: Cigars should be easy to smoke without a fight. There were no battles as the cigar burned well , no hot spots, and no tunneling. It was overall consistent in construction.
Conclusion/Overall Impression: The Macnundo Inspirado White was medium in strength, plenty of smoking fun and a solid hour or so in the time frame.
Final Thoughts and the Numbers:
Macanudo has made a very nice jump to a broader base of cigar flavors. I have now tried the Red, Black and of course the White.
General Cigar and Macanudo can say this series of cigars are all winners and will help dispel the myth they only produce milder cigars for the masses. Seasoned smokers need to try this line.
