Cigar review: Small cigar companies sometimes need to push the envelope in order to get recognized by the cigar smoking public. How they do it , is a tough call. Cigars are rolled out by the thousands each year. What makes a cigar stand out?
A good way I think is to present your product in an unique way.
They are striking enough that consumers certainly notice how the cigar shows without tasting the smoke. If the cigar is any good, so much the better. After all a box and band does not make the cigar. You have to like it enough it keep it in your rotation.
As always how and where I received the cigar does not impact my subjective judgment. Please give it a try yourself and make your own call.

Where and When Smoked: Los Angeles, Ca. 5/17/2020
Appearance/Construction: The barber pole wrapper and band are an intense looking combination with a semi oily feel to the hand. Slight veins are evident but a minor flaw. Overall it’s a well crafted cigar , with care shown throughout the body of the stick.
Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First Third: I used a V cut to start the process off and initial hit was a nutty, roast coffee taste with a medium spice kicker. It was generally smooth and pleasing as the spice was not dominant in this part of the smoke.
Second Third: Felt like walking down a wooded area with a cedar, pine interlude. Medium at this point, giving out good summer vibes. The spice is present too however like a bit more power at this point.
Final Third: Overall it was a well balanced cigar combining the easy smoking profile of spice, nuttiness and an outdoorsy flair.
Smoking Characteristics: Dark , grey ash with a cool smoking draw . One relight about 2/3 into the cigar.
Conclusion/Overall Impressions: A likable smoke with several attributes going for it. The flavor was clean but I would have requested a spicier mid point in the cigar. It was well balanced for the most part and did appreciate the look of the cigar too.
Final Thoughts and the Numbers: This is a good cigar but not elite. Most cigars that fall into this category are satisfying for just about every event. I would definitely buy a five pack of the Clown. As I do have more in my humidor , will try again to see if the additional aging adds another level of flavor to the blend.
