Cigar events: The Cuban Chronicles, days 4 and 5

Cigar events: As we traveled further into the island , part of the trip was spent learning about the Bay of Pigs invasion through the eyes of the Cuban government.
As you would expect, the slant was pretty obvious, the Imperialist United States against the will of the Cuban people.
We explored the site of the Bay of Pigs invasion with a visit to the museum where the details of the invasion was layed out. Newclips, a battle propaganda film and a array of military hardware was viewed.
Cubans who were killed had a photo and a bio. prominently displayed telling about their life and exploits defending the island, and were shown on each wall of the museum.
Also viewed was a film of the captured invaders and their backgrounds which comprised of their loyality to Battista, the disposed dictator.
Overall the feeling for me was one of extreme patriotism for the revolution and Castro.
Depending on your viewpoint, the museum was a bastion of Cuban revolution and anti American flavor.
What it comes down to was how the United States exploited the Cuban people and made life miserable for the masses.

The weather was threatening so we left the area and made it to Trinidad and Cienfuegos About 50 miles from the Bay of Pigs, there were stunning examples of the old Cuba, with buildings built around the turn of the century. Large plazas, courtyards and stunning architecture. The rain was now getting pretty heavy, so we walked quickly through the town squares and into some buildings. We really needed more time to get a better look at everything we wanted to see but that did not happen. It was more like a tease than a full blown view of everything.
If there is another time , these are two areas that needed another look.
