Now it’s almost the end of 2019 and it certainly time to smoke the lastest creation.

Where and When Smoked: Los Angeles, Ca. 12/01/19
Appearance/Construction: The unique roped tobacco string certainly makes the cigar look different than just about any other cigar. I happen to like it but I am sure there will be some distractors. The wrapper is dark brown, semi oily feel and a solid construction. The texture is a bit rough but it makes the cigar look more rugged.
Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First third: Smooth with a controlled mix of almonds, earth and a fruity interlude, perhaps cherry? No one flavor dominates the blend at the start.
Second third: I get a more nut like hit in this segment and sweetness too. Mostly a dark taste of maple, very full bodied.
Final third: The cigar holds steady with the aforementioned flavors but the spice is now part of the scene which overall adds another dimension to the cigar.
Smoking Characteristics: No real problems or issues. The cigar kept lit, even burn, grey ash and was well constructed.
Conclusion/Overall Impression: The CAO brand has made a very strong case to continue this line and the cigar was smooth, well made and tasty. There is no one aspect of the cigar taste than overwhelmed or underwhelmed. Your basic good smoke.
Final Thoughts and the Numbers:
Limited edition cigars are sometimes company hype. How many are actually made and who gets them seems to be a well kept secret. I suggest if you see this cigar in your B and M. go ahead and make the purchase. It’s a good 1/5 hour of smoking pleasure.
