Downtown Los Angeles Welcomes a New Modern Cigar Lounge
Adding to the renaissance of downtown L.A., the King Cigar Lounge (KCL) has finally opened its doors. Located a stone’s throw from LA Live and the Staples Center, this smart and fashionable locale is a lively addition to a thriving metropolis where work meets play. The setting is perfect for afternoon meetings with clients and before or after attending an event at the Staples Center.
Mr. Gutierrez, owner of the lounge, developed a passion for cigars when he first visited lounges in Cuba. He noted a unique camaraderie that developed amongst cigar enthusiasts, and enjoyed the conversations shared when they would gather socially.
Different from many other lounges, each employee has been trained and certified as a Cigar Sommelier by IACS (International Association of Cigar Sommeliers). Even so, the KCL staff is approachable and down to earth, interested in educating clients about how to choose from the range of options. Take a stroll through the large, walk-in humidor stocked with cigars from around the world.
The lounge has both public and members-only sections. Membership benefits include exclusive access to the members-only area with large-screen TVs, comfortable furniture with plenty of space to stretch out and relax, and a private locker. Additionally, it has an elegant conference room, available for members to book for meetings. Members are also entitled to discounts on cigars and accessories.
Both the public and members have access to the street front patio, where they can enjoy a fine cigar while taking in the sights of the city. You can smell the beautiful aroma of the cigars when you walk through the large walk-in humidor. The humidor is stocked with a wide assortment of cigars from around the world. KCL is one of the few cigar lounges in Southern California that has a Davidoff White Label account.
Whether you are meeting a business associate or catching up with a friend after hours, KCL is the perfect space to take in the energy of downtown over the finest cigars from around the world.
