Cigar reviews: I have not been exactly pushing out cigar reviews during the Covid 19 nastiness. However, as a public service it’s about time a review is forth coming.
Tatuaje Cigars is a boutique blend that so many cigar friends enjoy but for the most part, I rarely smoke. It happens to be about 100 degrees in Los Angeles and am reviewing outside. So much for common sense.

Brand/Name of Cigar: Tatuaje Skinny Monsters/Drac
Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Shape: Petit Lancero
Price: $8-10 range, MSRP, I paid $9.99 at the Lone Wolf Cigar Lounge
Date Purchased: 7/15/2020, Lone Wolf Cigar Lounge
Where and When Smoked: Los Angeles, Ca. 2020
Appearance/Construction: Dark brown wrapper, semi – oily to the touch, firm construction. Somewhat mottled , veiny appearance , not built for beauty.
Tiny cigar band but so is the cigar. I had trouble ready the Tatuaje name but then again I cannot see.
Flavor/Taste and Aroma: First Third: A nice blend of salt, nuts, and black tea. Black pepper has a hand in the mix too. Promising smoke.
Second Third: The blend becomes more hearty with an added taste of coffee beans. It creates a another layer of good flavor and taste.
Final Third: I originally thought the cigar would be a barn burner but the power never came through. Overall it turns out to be a medium style cigar profile.
Smoking Characteristics: Well constructed with a straight draw, medium gray ash and a no problem at all smoke.
Conclusion/Overall Impressions/Final thoughts and the Numbers:
A good not an exceptional cigar. It ran about 45 minutes which is about par for the petit lancero. It represents well and certainly worthy to have occasionally when you are short on time but need a quality cigar. I liked it enough which I think is telling you it’s praise worthy.
