Cigar news you can use: New stuff

Crowned Heads has announced the upcoming release of The Lost Angel, a cigar that expands the company’s popular Angels Anvil series. The Angels Anvil line is exclusive to those tobacconists that are part of the TAA (Tobacconists Association of America) and has been running from 2014-2019.

The Lost Angel is described by Crowned Heads as a prequel to Angel’s Anvil and explores the darker side of the Angels Anvil story’s protagonist. In a press release, Crowned Heads had the following to say about the new Lost Angel release:

“The original Angels Anvil story behind the brand centered around a wingless angel who befriends a blacksmith who then helps him create new wings. The story parallels Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber’s, career in the cigar industry. Prior to the angel meeting the blacksmith, before he learns the secret to forging new wings to ascend by, the Angel first fell. Unlike the heavens above, the earth can be a dark space, and the spirit of The Lost Angel brand is born from that darkness. Though, we should never forget that the tiniest of seeds needs to first be submerged in dirt, covered in darkness, and it is only then that the seed will struggle to reach the light.”

Only 1,000 20-count boxes of Lost Angel 20201 will be released. The cigar will come in just one size, a box-pressed 6 x 52 cigar, and will feature a Brazilian Mata Fina binder, all Nicaraguan-grown filler tobaccos, and a Mexican San Andres wrapper. This cigar will be manufactured at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua, which also produces Crowned Heads’ Juarez and Mil Dias lines. Crowned Heads Lost Angel 2021 will be sold for $11.75 per cigar before applicable taxes and will begin shipping to retailers by the end of April 2021.
