Cigar news you can use: Guest cigar review
keep smoking
Gifted by Drew Newman, 4th Generation Owner & General Counsel at J.C. Newman Cigars. Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge. Information: Factory: J.C. Newman El Reloj Factory (USA) Size: 7×50, Churchill. Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, silky smooth texture with tiny veins. Construction: A little giving but even feel when lightly squeezed. Cold draw: Old furniture and cashew nuts. 1st third: Starts with distinct notes of gingerbread, fresh raspberries, cacao and fine light wood. 2nd third: Notes of beachwood and shortbread added, keeps smooth flowing, very enjoyable. Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white-ish ash. Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a light draw. 3rd third: Slight pinch of pepper on the palette and in the nostrils, otherwise it flows smoothly with notes of milk chocolate instead of cacao like the beginning. Duration: 17:35-19:30, 1h 55min. Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Very enjoyable complexity yet well balanced flavours and smooth textured smoke on the palette. Result: In my book this is a 93 point cigar. /Cigar Reviewer André |
