Cigar events: the great Jean Shepard , the creator of the best Christmas movie ever made, A Christmas Story.
Shep was a true original with countless stories about growing up in the Midwest, his army days and observations about life.
His radio shows on WOR radio in New York were part of my stable of learning what was wonderful about humor. Broadcast 1015 pm – 11 pm. , Sheppard ad libbed his monologues and gave insight that you wish you thought of.
His publications also were longer versions of his radio shows which intertwined his childhood with the present. Many of his radio, tv and other media broadcasts are available on the web.
