Cigar news:
I recently tried two new blends from General Cigar and liked them both. Different shapes and different flavor profile. Here are my capsule commentary on each cigar.
Alec Bradley Chunk Shade
Bold taste but not overpowering , the 4 x by 60 ring gauge is fun to smoke , with roasted coffee, mild pepper and cream. Alec Bradley describes it as ” smooth, mellow ” which is smooth but not in my book , mellow. The shape of the cigar makes you pay attention with every puff you take.
Needs some relights but not is not a problem as construction is very good.
Overall this is a 3.5 cigar out of 5.
The Room 101 Limited Edition Namakkubi Chincom is a large smoke, 5.5 by 60, full of flavor and takes you on a journey to a comlex smoking experience.
Dark Chocolate, black pepper, with an hint of citrus and plum.
The only drawback I encountered was a metallic taste at the tail end of the cigar. Not sure where that came from but really did not impact the overall taste of the cigar.
The cigar rated 3.8 out of 5.
