Cigar news you can use: Is Green good?

Cigar news: I am not a fan of Candela cigar wrappers. I am putting thast upfront right now , as the cigar I am about to review was created with Candela wrapper.

I should have punted the review. To be fair, I offered the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan to two of my cigar buddies who both are very experienced and were very happy to accept the blend to smoke for their own opinion.

The Hooligan is based on an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder with a blend of fillers from both Honduras and Panama.

Also involved are Honduran Candela, Nicaraguan Habano and Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro.

Now for the taste and my thoughts.

Here is the condensed version. The cigar started out with a pleasant taste of creamy chocolate, nutmeg and mild spice.

A good first third and now the problems begin. Major construction issues. At first, I had trouble keeping it lit. I worked it several times but finally got the burn to where it would stay steady.

Do I give up or keep trying ? I marched on. My friend Pat was not having any problems with his smoke. What was I doing wrong? I felt like a novice in the cigar smoking world.

Pat was enjoying his cigar and I was being pounded by constant jabs by an in prime Mike Tyson. Had to fight the urge to throw in the towel. Wish I had Cus D’Amato in my corner as a cut man.

I could not handle the bleeding. TKO in the fifth round.

The cigar totally fell apart. Pat , on the other hand, was totally serene. Had to admit it . The cigar may be a winner but I would not be in the ring to find out. Will have to fight another day.

My other cigar friend also totally loved the cigar. Face the music, you fucked up. Will try again down the road.

Keep smoking
