Punch Cigar brand is not one that many cigar smokers think about a first thought.
It is not one of the more glamorous brands even though it has been in the market in either Cuban or Honduras varieties for many years.
It is not a cigar I immediately pull out of my humidor or give a friend to smoke.
That’s sad as I am reminded of how good this brand is when I smoke it.
I am trying to think if I ever had a bad one or one that lacks flavor or was poorly constructed.
They are reasonably priced, tend to be on the medium to full side which is my usual preference.
Today it was raining in Los Angeles and not ideal to smoke outside. My friend came over, I moved the car out of the garage, grabbed a couple of chairs and made Punch the brand of choice.
Without getting to all the nuisances of the smoke, suffice it to say, it was a damn good smoke, full of taste, and without any construction hitches.
As the forecast is rain throughout the week, I guess my garage will be having company.
